Are you going to Auxilliary Pioneer this October?
by Quarterback inthe little demo at the ca showed a young fella meditating and by golly he reasoned that october had an extra weekend so that was reason enough for him to put in a a pioneer application.
what a brilliant idea.. who else will be doing this?.

If by Pioneering you are referring to wearing coonskin caps and riding in covered wagons I guess that would be ok. However if by pioneering you are referring to wasting an entire month (and a 5 week one at that) of your life trying to get people to buy cheesy Watchtower publication I would have to say: What! Are you crazy?

Some snot nosed dubbie.....
by watersprout intoday carrot phoned really angry, one of his customers saw him and said ''oh carrot i haven't seen you in a while (carrot does window cleaning on a weekend to bump up wages.. gotta love being uneducated) i saw that younge man that used to work with you and i asked him if he had seen you and he told me that he was taking over your work, as you weren't doing it anymore''... carrot was like wtfrick!!!!
he explained to his customer that ''no, i am still your window cleaner and i will be round next week''... anyway the customer was really angry as carrot is very well respected by his customer base.
she said that she would be phoning this snot nosed dubbie and telling him she doesn't want him anywhere near her windows.... lol.

Snot nosed dubbie yes... but that is the best of his qualities. He is actually an ungreatfull lying selfish little brainwashed thief. Hopefully someday he'll wake up to how the Watchtower is using him and how it has made him into the self-righteous little creep he has become and he'll feel embarassed about it. A lot of people on this forum are embarrassed about the way they acted when they were JWs.
Nothing wrong with Carrot calling him out on his turd like behavior

I think the point of this article is to lay more guilt on Witnesses for not doing enough. If your sick that is no excuse, do more. If you are healthy then what's the problem? Get out there and move magazines.
And as for poor Izabel. I can't think of a worse therapy for someone who suffers from depression than going out in service. Wasting your day knocking on doors trying to find someone home. And if you do find someone home in most cases they could care less about what you are peddling and just want you to go away. You could spend years doing this and have absolutely no results. How depressing is that? Izabel would feel so much better about herself if instead of door knocking for the Watchtower she volunteered for some sort of community service where she could see where she was making a difference in peoples lives.

I am officially sick of hearing the WBT$'s brand name for god = Jehovah!
by punkofnice init's that simple.
i'm sick up to here (guestures to above head), of hearing the dubs trot out their brand name for their imaginary sky friend who is so loving they're petrified he'll murder them soon!!!!!.
the other week i heard a conversation between 2 dubs that ended with the cliche: 'jehovah will sort it out!

Michele Bachman must really piss them off. Not only is she using the false name for God they think they own she seems to be trying to steal their entire gig.
BACHMANN: Lord, the day is at hand. We are in the last days. You are a Jehovah God. We know that the times are in your hands. And we give them to you…The day is at hand, Lord, when your return will come nigh. Nothing is more important than bringing sheep into the fold. Than bringing new life into the kingdom…You have weeded that garden. The harvest is at hand.

Outlaw said it well. Here we have a religion that claims to be the truth and even their name is false. How ironic is that?

What good is punishment after you die?
by Lore inwhen your child disobeys, you punish him.
simple answer: so he will listen next time and won't disobey again.. if the child has a learning disorder and is incapable of learning from the punishment, odds are you will stop punishing him and will deal with his condition in other ways.. we punish children in order to change their behavior.
if the punishment does not promote a change in behavior the punishment is useless and possibly evil.. .

Jehovahs Witnesses Going it alone for decades!
by Marvin Shilmer injehovahs witnesses going it alone for decades!.
today i uploaded a new article to my blog showing how jehovahs witnesses were left to go it alone for more than 40 years after watchtower deemed it sinful to accept transfusion of blood.
my article is titled jehovahs witnesses going it alone for decades and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/09/jehovahs-witnesses-going-it-alone-for.html .

Everytime my wife and I are out somewhere and she opens her wallet to pay for something and I see that no blood card I feel like riping it up.
People die as a result of following a policy written by men who could care less about them. The men who write this ever changing policy have no medical or scientific training and their understanding of biblical laws and principles is even worse.
Making policies that put its followers in very difficult positions with no support has been a common practice of the Watchtower. When they came up with the stop smoking or be df'd rule. That was all they did. Make rule. They didn't create support groups to help people quit. They just made the rule and said obey it.
The same was true with the draft. They didn't have any draft counseling. If you wanted draft counseling during the Viet Nam war years you had to get information for the antiwar groups that were around at that time. Usually a hippie hanging around the draft board office. And did the Watachtower form a network of support to visit and help the young men who went to jail for the Watchtower? Nope!

Good reply Botchtower and Tom (wherever you are).
One of my favorite books "The Great Divorce" by CS Lewis was very insightful into the frame of mind a person could have in the afterlife that could keep them from accepting what they really need to make them happy.

I see hell as a choice. In other words, no one is sent to hell.
If someone doesn't believe in hell how can you say they made a choice to go somewhere they don't believe in? Why would you think it makes any sense to say someone made a choice to go to some horrible place forever that no living person has ever been to or can prove exists?
